Trixie (the cat pictured) passed away this summer from cytauxzoonosis, also known as bobcat fever. It’s spread by tick bite. Please, for those of you with inside cats that have been bitten by a tick, get them checked out. By the time Trixie got to the hospital it was too late. This issue needs more awareness.
