A couple of years ago, my family adopted a new kitten. Her name is Sabrina, but before we adopted her the shelter had named her Tiny, and with good reason. Sabrina was the runt of her litter, and even now isn’t the size of a regular cat. Being a cat, she had a habit of getting into odd places.
In my kitchen, there’s a long row of cupboards. Between the freezer and this row was a small gap. Unbeknownst to us, there was also a small opening behind the cupboards. It’d be impossible for most things to get into that opening, but a pint-sized kitten certainly could…
It took two hours for us to lure her out of there. After that, we blocked up the opening and stuffed some things into the gap next to the freezer. Needless to say, we were reduced to saying get out of there cat more than a few times!
PSA: one reader had no picture to submit of their cat in a place where he shouldn’t have been, but he most definitely was there. folks, if your cat goes missing, first thing you should do is ask neighbours to check their property, including sheds and garages. after being lost for two days, Spangle was found trapped in a basement, two houses down.
I am glad to report he seems unscathed by his adventure, but he could have died down there.
